Our Association

Founded in 1977, the Barcelona Hotel Association is a trade association governed by Law 19/1977 of Spanish Royal Decree 873/1977 and other applicable legislation, and by its own articles of association. It is made up of hotels, hotel-apartments and hostels as well as tourist apartments both in the city of Barcelona and surrounding areas within the province.

In accordance with Article 3 of our Articles of Association, the Barcelona Hotel Association undertakes to jointly represent and defend the interests and rights of its member companies against any actions that may affect them collectively or in part.

Our members as a whole give the association a significant advantage in terms of representation and dialogue with the government and other bodies on issues such as development, accommodation for important events, public safety, regulations, municipal by-laws and specifically applicable laws. This often involves the creation of task forces.
