  “El Jardí" is certified on 1860 by the county as being the third ever officially recognized hotel in the city of Barcelona.
  
  Due to its location “el Jardí” became famous and frequented by artists and their glamorous carriages. Of course, crowds followed in an effort to get a glimpse at the famous personalities.
  
  “El Jardí” since the 1900s until today has been changing ownership.
  
  Under today's management, the building that once was in decay has been improved respecting its original façade. It was a two stage remodeling project partially completed in 1992 for the Barcelona Olympics and finished in 2002 when an elevator was installed for the first time
